Seasonal Services

These occur four times in each year, once during each season.

Easter - This is a celebration of Spring and renewal in Nature. We do not place much emphasis on the story of Jesus' death as most of us regard his life and teachings as more important.

vase of flowers Flower Service - This takes place around mid Summer and is a joyful celebration of the beauty of Nature. It is also an act of sharing as we all bring flowers to decorate the chapel and then take different ones home with us.

cornucopia Harvest - This is a service of thanksgiving for all the bounty of the Earth. It follows in a long tradition of Harvest Thanksgivings which have taken place in churches and chapels for centuries. At this time we also remember those in the world who do not benefit as much from the Earth's resources.

dove of peace Christmas - In this service we celebrate the traditions and spirit of Christmas. Although many of us do not believe the Christmas story to be historically accurate, we value the principles and spirit to which it gives expression. We also understand the human need to look to home and family for hope at this darkest time of year.

St. James' ChurchRemembrance Service

This service is held each year on the Sunday closest to 11th November. As a service with community significance it is held jointly with St. James' Parish Church. The venue for the service alternates between the Chapel and the Church.
